SPML recognises that the responsibility for employee health and safety requires constant and continuing efforts of a partnership between company management, its employees, sub-contractors and their employees, the client/owner and their employees.
SPML accepts its responsibility to lead in the promotion and practice of its Health & Safety (H&S) programme.
SPML strictly complies with all legal and regulatory requirements implemented in each country and generally accepted work practices and procedures for the protection and promotion of the safety and health of its employees and others, who may be affected by the group’s activities, and strictly adheres to all site H&S standards and job work rules and practices. Employees at all levels are trained to work conscientiously and diligently to execute the highest standards of occupational health and safety in order to prevent human suffering and losses, that may result from unsafe practices, while also protecting the environment.
SPML will promote and enforce the development, dissemination, implementation, effectiveness and continual improvement of its H&S programme. SPML’s H&S policy is made available to stakeholders and other interested parties.
SPML pursues rigorous and frequent audits, to ensure that each partner in the shared responsibilities in the area of H&S attains the group’s goal to prevent human suffering, and to limit losses by exemplary leadership in the prevention of accidents, injuries and illness. This H&S policy is regularly reviewed for adequateness and suitability.
