Paudy O’Brien is the founding Director of the Shannon Power Management group of companies.
Paudy has worked globally for more than 15 years on a diverse range of projects across many industry sectors.
His success is based on his ability to select and develop people to achieve their full potential in culturally diverse environments, together with his ability to liaise at the highest level with a broad range of national and international clients.His commitment to HSE and Quality are the essential key elements to his success.
Paudy currently sits on the boards of a Software development Business and a Merchant Bank. Previously, he sat on the board of and Indigenous training organisation and an industry development agency.
Derek Browne holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity College Dublin. After graduating from Dublin Institute of Technology (D.I.T.), he spent time in Australia and Africa gaining valuable experience across wide-ranging power generation technologies.
He later spent a number of years in the United States as Project Manager for several large international Gas Turbine Open Cycle and Combined Cycle installation and maintenance projects.
During the course of numerous assignments, Derek has had the added benefit of working closely with a number of large Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) including General Electric, Mitsubishi, Foster Wheeler, Borsig, Pratt & Whitney, Alstom and Siemens.
Included amongst the portfolio of projects he has worked on are a wide range of renewable technologies such as Biomass, Wave Energy Conversion, Wind and Hydro.
Derek enjoys an on-going relationship with OEM’s representing a broad range of technologies and this assists with evaluation and final execution of projects.
In recent years he has faced the challenge of leading multiple grid code compliance audits for generating organisations, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies, technical due diligence and investigations and consulting to independent power plant developers.
Michael joined the board of Shannon Power Management Limited as a non-executive director in June 2015, Michael has extensive experience specific to the engineering and construction sectors both in Australia and internationally.
Prior to joining SPML, he was EGM/COO for Forge, servicing the mining and mineral processing, oil and gas, chemicals and petrochemicals, and industrial processing industries. He also held various legal and corporate roles. Before this Michael worked for UGL, Worley Parsons, Mowlem (Laing O’Rouke) and LawGibbs.
Michael has represented peak industry bodies in the transport sector and has served a chairperson for the Tranport divison of ARIC for SME’s.
